Dr Devendra Raj Mehta

D. R. Mehta is Founder & Chief Patron of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), Jaipur, (India) a non-political and non-religious NGO, dedicated to the rehabilitation of the orthopedically disabled. Mehta was born on 25th June 1937 at Jodhpur, India. He is a graduate of Arts and Law and also studied in UK and USA. He was one of the senior most civil servants of the Government of India. After his retirement, in 2002, he is a full time volunteer of BMVSS. Under Mehta’s leadership, BMVSS has been the world’s largest rehabilitation organization for decades and has provided more than 1.70 million rehabilitation devices.
