Jacques Bernard is the President of “Maladies Rares Info Services” (Rare Diseases Info Service) and co-founder of “Alliance Maladies Rares” (Alliance Rare Diseases).
Jacques Bernard had his first experience in association in 1993, at the AFA / Overcome chronic inflammatory bowel diseases. Then, he asserted himself in the associative world by co-founding the Alliance for Rare Diseases in 2001. He remains shocked by diagnostic errors and outraged by damaging diagnoses announcements. He is also admiring revolted but contributing patient’s associations. He is the author of the concept of “The patient, expert in experience” that has come a long way.
